Introducing Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School's New Space for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math
S.P.A.R.C. LAB Students. Parents. Administrators. A Rumson-Fair Haven Community Collaboration
RFH Students across the academic spectrum have expresses a desire to learn more about the creative applications of robotics, programming, genetics and engineering. Their interest and enthusiasm sparked an idea: S.P.A.R.C. Lab.
THE PLAN The RFH Administration and Board of Education have created plans to transform room 503 into a state-of-the-art lab, to enhance the existing science program and allow new curricula to be developed. Activities in the S.P.A.R.C. Lab will include Physics, Engineering, Genetics/Genomics, and Marine and Environmental Science instruction. Teacher will learn new applications to be used in the lab and encourage students to engage in real-world projects in this new technology-rich environment to develop skills in design, engineering, communication, collaboration and critical thinking.
THE COST The total cost to create the lab is estimated at $183,000. Financial support for the SPARC Lab will be sought from RFH parents, community members, local foundations and corporations. Your gift can help make this project possible.
